Chesa Campell – our home
For almost 100 years, since 1923, the Chesa Campell has been owned by our family and already the 3rd Generation with Lüzza Campell continues the medical practice on the ground floor of the house.
He himself was born in the house and still lives with his family in the apartment above the doctor’s office today. Since 2020, the two apartments have brought new life to the house and Karin and Lüzza Campell take care of the guests themselves and give some “insider tips”.
Pontresina – our homeland
Pontresina itself is a sunny, wind-protected alpine spa. Nestled in a breathtaking backdrop of majestic mountain peaks, above all Piz Bernina, the highest peak in the Eastern Alps, Pontresina is the starting point for alpinists, hikers and climbers in summer and winter. Culture lovers, romantics and connoisseurs will also find true gems in and around Pontresina, for example a horse-drawn carriage ride to the contrasting Val Roseg or the Bernina Express to the south. In winter, countless inspiring cross-country routes and picturesque winter hiking trails pamper the senses through the enchanting landscape. The Diavolezza ski area, particularly popular with freeriders, is just a stone’s throw away. Especially in spring, discoverers will delight the largest stone game colony in Switzerland, and the new adventure space “Bernina Glaciers” makes the fascination of glaciers in the Bernina area experience up close.
Excursion possibilities
On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all the mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of pleasure trails: the Upper Engadine offers a high-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails amidst the original mountains and the inspiring Upper Engadine Lake District. The three flow trails on the Corviglia ensure the right flow. The Upper Engadine Lakes are also enthusiastic about sports. Kiting, sailing, windsurfing, standing up paddling: the possibilities are almost unlimited. The vastness of the inspiring high valley can be experienced particularly impressively on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And in addition to the wide range of sports facilities, high-class cultural activities such as a visit to the museum or the numerous art galleries in the various villages attract visitors.
In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 km of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and in the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country trails on the frozen Upper Engadine lakes shine with light, sun and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. If you want to enjoy the silence and beauty of the snow-covered forests, you can hike on the 150 km of winter hiking trails to the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever.
